Medical Cannabis, the Texas Way

At our North Austin location, Wells Branch patients find a straightforward process built around what their physician has prescribed, with no extra paperwork or runaround. Every product that reaches our shelves is grown, formulated and packaged by our own team, which means the standards you find here match what's available at any Texas Original dispensary statewide, not just this one.

That kind of oversight matters most when a patient has questions. Our staff takes the time to break down cannabinoid ratios, walk through dosing, and make sure first-time visitors leave with a clear understanding of their options, not just a bag of products. Because a visit to a Wells Branch dispensary destination should feel like a conversation, not a transaction.

A Day Well Spent in Wells Branch, Texas

Located about 13 miles north of downtown Austin in Travis County, Wells Branch is known for its parks, trails and small-town feel tucked inside the larger Austin metro. There's plenty to explore here before or after a visit to Texas Original.

Wells Branch Homestead

Nestled inside Katherine Fleischer Park, this small history museum preserves a fully furnished 1850s log cabin along with outbuildings like a smokehouse, corn crib and syrup-cooking shed. Guided tours, held by reservation during select months, walk visitors through the daily routines of Central Texas pioneers who settled the area generations ago.

Mills Pond Recreation Area

A wide, level trail wraps around this tucked-away pond, with a fishing pier and stone steps offering easy access to the water. Turtles, geese and other wildlife are frequent sights here, making it a peaceful stop for a walk, a bike ride or some quiet birdwatching.

Wells Branch Disc Golf Course

Originally built as a 9-hole course in 1996 and expanded to 18 holes in 2012, this course lines the neighborhood greenbelt and creek with a layout that rewards a strong short game over raw distance. Weekly Sunday doubles and Friday singles events draw a loyal crowd of regulars throughout the year.

Wells Branch Butterfly Garden

Started in 2013 by community volunteers, this certified Monarch Way Station and butterfly garden sits along the greenbelt between Wells Port Drive and Wells Branch Parkway. Native milkweed and pollinator-friendly plantings, maintained through ongoing volunteer efforts, continue to draw butterflies, bees and hummingbirds to the space.

Megenagna Mart & Cafe

Part grocery store and part restaurant, this spot brings authentic Ethiopian cuisine to North Austin, with a menu that includes breakfast specialties like chechebsa alongside classics like awaze tibs served sizzling in a skillet. Shelves of spices, coffee and ceramics line the space, giving it the feel of a market as much as a place to sit down and eat.

Malone Specialty Coffee

Started at a kitchen table in 2013, this local roastery now roasts every batch on a vintage Diedrich drum roaster at its Wells Branch location, seeking out coffees with distinct, memorable flavor notes. The cafe's motto, coffee "so good you can drink it black," reflects its focus on quality beans over add-ins and syrups.

FAQ: Wells Branch Dispensary Cannabis Guide

Improving patients' lives through quality medical cannabis is the entire reason Texas Original exists. As a licensed medical provider, we partner with physicians registered in the Texas Compassionate Use Program to support patients at every stage of their treatment journey.

We oversee cultivation, formulation and packaging ourselves rather than contracting out any part of it. That hands-on approach is what lets us guarantee the same quality and consistency in every product, no matter which Texas Original location a patient visits.

More than anything, we want the process of accessing medical cannabis to feel approachable. Patients coming from Wells Branch will find our North Austin team ready with clear answers, patient guidance and a welcoming space to ask questions.

Texas Original's North Austin location is at 10222 Pecan Park Blvd, Ste 3, Cedar Park, TX 78613, about a 14-minute drive from Wells Branch via TX-45 West/TX-45 Toll.

Texas doesn't issue a physical medical cannabis card. Your physician submits your prescription electronically to the state's Compassionate Use Registry, and our team confirms it when you arrive.

Your prescribing physician sets the specific amount, product types and dosing available to you based on your treatment plan.

Patients can pay by bank online, with payments processed once your order is received. We also accept Aeropay, debit, cash and checks made payable to "Compassionate Cultivation, LLC." Credit cards aren't an option due to federal banking regulations tied to cannabis sales.

Definitely. Texas OG's loyalty program is built to show our appreciation for the patients who trust us with their care. Here's what it includes:

  • Earn Points with Every Purchase: Every purchase earns reward points and discounts based on your annual spending.
  • Welcome Offer for New Patients: First-time patients receive a special discount to kick off their experience with us.
  • Discounts for Veterans, First Responders and Military Personnel: We offer a 20% discount on every order as a thank-you for their service.
  • Rotating Promotions: We offer limited-time promotions throughout the year, allowing you to save even more on Texas medical cannabis.
