What is the Compassionate Use Program?

In 2015, Texas passed the Compassionate Use Act. This law allowed for the first legal use of MMJ and established the Compassionate Use Program, the state’s official MMJ program. 

Since 2015, the program has expanded significantly, allowing more than 150 conditions to qualify.


What Conditions Qualify in Texas?

To receive treatment in Texas, you must be a Texas resident with a qualifying medical condition. Under the Compassionate Use Program, the following conditions qualify:
