Texas medical cannabis provider Compassionate Cultivation has brought on accomplished sales leader Kelly Roland to head up sales strategy and operations ahead of anticipated market expansion in 2019.
Before joining Compassionate Cultivation, Ms. Roland served as Senior Director of Sales at
Touch of Modern, a leading e-commerce website and app for men’s fashion and lifestyle products, where she was responsible for scaling, sales strategy and revenue growth. She also held prominent roles at the digital marketplace
LivingSocial, including Regional Director of Sales for the southwest United States, where she oversaw strategic growth in a competitive atmosphere covering more than 10 states. Ms. Roland’s sales teams achieved aggressive regional sales targets upward of $35 million quarterly. Ms. Roland knows the Texas consumer landscape well, having also served as LivingSocial’s Director of Sales for Texas, where she led sales staff across the state.

Ms. Roland, who earned her bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, also oversaw several groundbreaking initiatives for the national digital platform
CitySearch, a consumer guide for local retailers and entertainment. She created training programs for more than 150 employees of all seniority levels and excelled as a national account executive, maintaining a large regional book of business with monthly billing upwards of $1 million and clientele including Embassy Suites, Buca di Beppo, Intercontinental Hotels, Marriott, FAO Schwarz, and others.
As Senior Vice President of Sales for Compassionate Cultivation, Ms. Roland is responsible for leading the company’s sales team and overseeing all sales operations. She is tasked with driving revenue growth across all lines of the business—an objective requiring keen vision and organization, which she has successfully demonstrated time and again in more than two decades of top-level sales experience.
Compassionate Cultivation is one of three businesses licensed to grow cannabis, process it into low-THC formulations of CBD oil and provide it to patients who hold a valid doctor’s prescription. The company made history in February 2018 when it opened the doors to the
